Over the past few weeks we have been advising our clients as to the extent of cover that they have in place in the event that they are forced to close their premises due to Coronavirus/Covid-19. In the vast majority of cases Business Interruption insurance cover will not respond unless there is a specific instance of Coronavirus/Covid-19 being found at the business premises. A government lockdown of all public venues to prevent the spread of the disease will not trigger cover on most policies.
