Family Rugby Club – Family Insurance Broker
As lockdown restrictions come to an end, things are looking up for the sport and leisure sectors across the Thames Valley. Many people are once again enjoying reconnecting with their local communities, none more so than family-run independent Stillman Insurance Brokers who are celebrating mixing business with pleasure this summer.
Amongst a thriving community, Stillman Insurance Brokers have for some time been very proud of their involvement as sponsor and supporter of National League One club, Rams Rugby.
Chris Stillman, Managing Director of local independent broker, Stillman Insurance Brokers, has been involved in the club for a number of years, and across a number of roles – lead coach of his son Aaron’s age group (now under 12s), previously minis manager looking after all the age groups from under 6s to under 12s, 5th team player for the last few years, and now Club Coaching Coordinator.
It’s been great to see the progress the club have made in recent years, and we’re very proud to be a sponsor of the new stand, which is a great addition to the already excellent facilities.
Chris said: “I came relatively late to the club having not played since school, and having only visited once or twice with a friend from work. When Aaron got to the age that he could start training I was keen to help with coaching, and the club are very supportive of parents getting involved. It’s symptomatic of the whole club ethos – there’s a genuine family feel from top to bottom, and we regularly have 1st team players coming along to the minis training sessions. There are plenty of families who are involved at many levels and in lots of different ways – as well as me and Aaron we’ve also got my daughter Maya playing for our ladies team, The Sirens.

I hope we can keep supporting the club as a company, as well as remaining involved as a family, for a very long time. Aaron’s currently in the under 12s – my plan is that I’ll get to play one match with him before I retire from the game – I’ll be 50 when he’s 18, so fingers crossed.”
